Teachers.us
Who:
Tightrope Interactive, in partnership with a variety of for-profit colleges wanted to design a website for the general public to learn about teaching careers. This site served to funnel students to for-profit schools that offer teaching degrees and programs that were featured on the site.
What:
Tightrope Interactive and their education partners wanted a site that conveyed a warm, student and teacher-friendly vibe as well as be user-friendly. The site had to feel trustworthy enough for potential students to willingly provide personal information to potential schools. The goal was for potential students to provide information to teaching degree granting schools so that the schools could contact the students directly through their recruitment efforts.
How:
I sought to create a design that was warm, user-friendly and appealing to potential teaching students. I sought to convey a sense of “education” through the photographs, colors and graphics I chose. The design was conceived from scratch and was a brand new design for teachers.us.com. I worked on all facets of the website design from concept, design to coding build out. I worked on the following:
- Concept
- Research
- Site Maps
- Sketches
- Wireframes
- Refinement of Logo Redesign
- Visual Design and Branding - colors, typefaces, imagery, and layout.
- Front End Development in HTML/CSS site wide in WordPress CMS.
